Working With Us
Where are you based? +
We're based in Chișinău, Moldova and operate as a Moldova IT Park resident (SRL). Our timezone is UTC+2 (EET), which overlaps with both European and US East Coast business hours. All communication is in English.
How big is your team? +
We're a small, senior team led by Dimitry Bizga (Founder & Lead Engineer). We don't outsource or subcontract. Every line of code is written by engineers who've shipped 50+ production systems. For larger projects, we scale with trusted collaborators we've worked with for years.
What's your typical project timeline? +
It depends on scope, but rough ranges: MVP (6–12 weeks), full product (3–6 months), infrastructure overhaul (2–4 weeks). We give detailed timelines during the proposal phase after a discovery call.
Do you work with startups or enterprises? +
Both. Startups come to us for MVPs and first products. Scaling companies come for architecture reviews, performance optimization, and team augmentation. The common thread is that our clients value engineering quality over speed-at-all-costs.
What industries do you specialize in? +
SaaS startups, logistics & transport, event ticketing, fintech/Web3, and high-performance WordPress. We take on projects outside these verticals when the technical challenge is interesting.
Pricing & Contracts
How much does a typical project cost? +
Rough ranges: Infrastructure & performance optimization ($5K–$15K), early-stage MVP with core features, auth, and billing ($15K–$30K), full product with multi-tenancy, integrations, and production infrastructure ($30K–$60K+). We provide detailed estimates after the discovery call. No hidden fees, no scope creep surprises.
Do you charge hourly or fixed price? +
Both options are available. For well-defined projects with clear scope, we offer fixed-price contracts. For ongoing work or projects with evolving requirements, we work on a time & materials basis with weekly reporting.
What's your payment structure? +
Typically 30% upfront, 30% at midpoint, 40% on delivery for fixed-price projects. For retainers and T&M, we invoice monthly. We accept bank transfers and Paddle payments.
Is there a minimum engagement? +
For project work, most engagements start at $5K for focused infrastructure or performance work. MVP builds typically begin at $15K. For advisory retainers, there's a 3-month minimum to ensure meaningful results.
Technical
What technologies do you work with? +
Our core stack: TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker. For mobile: React Native. For AI: Python, LangChain, OpenAI/Claude APIs. For WordPress: custom themes, OpenLiteSpeed, Cloudflare. We choose the right tool for the job, not what's trendy.
Do you use AI in your development process? +
Yes, selectively. We use AI for code review assistance, test generation, and documentation. We also build AI-powered features for clients (RAG systems, LLM integrations, automation). But we never ship AI-generated code without human review.
Will I own the code? +
Yes, 100%. You own all code, documentation, and intellectual property we produce. We use Git from day one, and you have repository access throughout the project. No vendor lock-in.
How do you handle security? +
We follow OWASP guidelines, use environment-based secrets management, implement RBAC, encrypt data at rest and in transit, and conduct security reviews before every release. For sensitive projects, we sign NDAs before seeing any code.
Advisory Services
What's a Fractional CTO? +
A Fractional CTO gives you senior technical leadership without the $200K+ salary. You get architecture reviews, tech strategy, vendor evaluation, hiring support, and ongoing guidance, at a fraction of the cost of a full-time hire.
Can you review our existing codebase? +
Yes. Our One-Time Audit ($2,500) includes a full architecture review, stack evaluation, and written report with prioritized recommendations. Delivered in 5–7 business days with a 60-minute debrief call.
Can you also build what you recommend? +
Yes. The Advisory + Build tier combines strategic guidance with development execution. We're transparent about conflicts: if we recommend building something, we explain why and let you choose who builds it.
Communication
How do you communicate during projects? +
Slack for async communication (response within 4 hours during business hours), weekly video calls for status updates, and a shared project board (Linear or Notion) for task tracking. You always know what's happening.
What's your response time? +
For active projects: within 4 hours on Slack during business hours (UTC+2). For inquiries: within 24 hours. For emergencies on production systems: same-day response.
Do you provide documentation? +
Yes. Every project includes: API documentation, architecture decision records (ADRs), deployment runbooks, and onboarding guides. Your next developer should be productive within days, not weeks.
